It’s unfair to your husband how much all your kids look like you. Did you manage to just clone yourself?

I’m pouring myself a glass of VitaminWater 10 in your honor. (in a wineglass…that does make it more fun, FYI.)

And seriously, have you thought about maybe checking to have your daughters’ personality quotient measured? They’re off the charts.

Great job on all fronts, Stef.

Lovely little girls. And they are worth it. Especially now when they are small enough to catch and squeeze and make those big shrieky laughs come out while you steal a caress of a leg or an arm or the back of a wee neck. Even with all the shit, I wouldn’t change this time for the world and bet you wouldn’t either, which is why you are taking the steps you know you need to take. You rock, mama.

I could go on and on with all the reasons that you are doing the right thing. As a child of a alcoholic mother, I can tell you that your children deserve you present, alert and aware. This is worth it, for a million reasons that you (and your children) will thankfully never ever know.

Big fat congratulations on the one-week mark! Those girls are definitely worth it–those gorgeous curls alone would do it!

How is it going? Are you doing okay? I know how hard it is to realize you’ve been using something as a coping skill (I’ve used both alcohol and cigarettes for that) and then try to face things without it. But know you’ve got all kinds of support!

Who is the lucky kid who gets to babysit those adorable little ones? If I lived near enough, I’d do it for free, they are just that dang cute!

Adorable kids! You can’t even tell the size difference in the twins! Do you want me to call the Enquirer and tell them that I saw you passed out with a bottle of wine on your lawn to keep up your credibility?? Let me know, lmao!

Fantastic! Those girls look VERY happy and I'm sure they're proud of you.

FYI – when I am teetotalling I make fake gin & tonics – tonic with ice & a slice of lemon. Also another lovely virgin cocktail (as they get called) is a virgin Mohitjo – lemon, lime & mint with ice. And another great thing to always have is ICY cold water. all this non-alcoholic drinking gives your kidneys a workout but it certainly reduces the whatifs and the justones.

Not like you are counting them or anything…

I’ve thought about you often this week and have hoped that you were working’ it.

Oh, and I suck at math so I might be totally wrong about the time shit up there but even so – it’s a shitload of time you’ve already accumulated.

    They ARE worth it.

Do any of the girls have your comedic style yet?

That’s how we feel too. Hubs and I both decided not to drink anymore after we had Bri. What if we had to rush to the hospital with her and we weren’t sober? Sheesh! So we stay clear of booze now that we’re parents.

Stef I haven’t done any blog reading in a few weeks, and boy did I miss an important announcement. I just wanted to offer you my love and support. Ben has been sober one year today. Our marriage is 4500% better, his parenting is off the charts better. . . honestly he is like a totally new (and better!) version of himself. If you need to talk or someone to hang out with sans alcohol we are here. He has become a pro at going to events where everyone else is drinking and he is sober. It was hard at first, but now I am pretty sure seeing what dumbasses people can be whilst drinking contributes to his sobriety. 😉

and OMG Mattie is such a clone of Elby. wow!
