So I was thinking…

Tomorrow, I'm thinking about doing a series on how I got my book deal and how you can too. Apparently this was covered at BlogHer and they didn't need my input. But seeing as there are a lot of people out there who would love to write professionally I though I might share (for free) my tips on getting published, getting interest, and what it takes. Is there interest?

I’d love for you to do some posts on this topic. I’ve been toying with the idea of actually getting some things I’ve written published for awhile now.

Hell yeah I’d love to hear the story! Unless it’s the same as getting discovered as an actress, you know, the whole blowing fat nasty producers to get bit parts story.

Because my gag reflex is really sensitive now that I’m pregnant, and I can’t really bend down anymore, so any chance of me having a career would be crushed by your post if that’s the story.

Hi! My name is Denise Burks and I am working on a writing/photography project about my suburban experiences. I’ll be posting my work on the internet (www.successinthesuburbs.com) but would love to hear about the path you traveled. I love your “Chardonnay” book and have written about my own chardonnay in a sippy cup experience (let’s just say that my kids won’t be burned by playgroups with the neighbor kids any longer).
